Welcome to the website of Calvary Baptist Church. Calvary is an assembly of believers that seeks to be faithful to our Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, and to the revelation that He has given to us in the Bible. The Lord has graciously blessed us throughout the history of our church - giving us a congregation of committed Christians, enabling us to participate in the Great Commission in our area and around the world, and providing for the needs of our congregation in a way that demonstrates His love and greatness. As you look over the information provided here, we hope that you will rejoice with us in the testimony that the Lord has raised up and sustained in the Carrboro, Chapel Hill, and surrounding area. Though we give generously to support foreign missions, our location allows us to preach the Gospel to souls who come from around the world either for education or for employment at the University of North Carolina or any of the high tech industries located nearby. Calvary is committed to faithfully teaching, obeying, and propagating “the faith once delivered to the saints” (Jude 3). We believe that the testimony of Biblical righteousness is essential in all areas of life, worship, and ministry if we are going to honor the Lord. If you are looking for such a church in our area or have questions about our church, we would love to hear from you.
In Christ, Dr. Gary Webb
